Team Nigeria had arrived in Chengdu, China, for the FISU World University Games. The Games will run from July 28 to August 8 in Chengdu, China. Nigeria is expected to compete for honors in six games, including Track and Field, Badminton, Judo, Taekwondo, Table Tennis, and Tennis. The highest number of medals the country won in a single edition stands at six at the last five editions of the World University Games. Nigeria, South Africa will lead other 22 African Countries at the World University Games. Chinese President Xi Jinping declare the game open at the opening ceremony of the 31st summer edition of the FISU World University Games in Chengdu, capital city of southwest China's Sichuan Province.
