University of Jos Unveils 'Indi'- the Jos Indigo as Official Mascot for the 27th NUGA Games
Jos, Nigeria - The University of Jos, host of the 27th Nigeria University Games Association (NUGA) Games, has officially unveiled 'Indi' the Jos Indigo, the vibrant and energetic mascot that will serve as the face and spirit of NUGA UNIJOS 2025.
Inspired by the Jos Plateau Indigobird, Indi symbolizes the values of unity, play, and peace the core theme of the upcoming Games. With its vivid blue hue and dynamic design, Indi represents the unique biodiversity of Plateau State and the resilience, creativity, and competitive spirit of Nigerian university athletes.
Speaking during about the mascot, Prof Tanko Ishaya Vice-Chancellor, University of Jos described Indi as a powerful emblem of the strength and unity that sports bring to our nations youth. He emphasized that the mascot reflects the University's commitment to fostering inclusivity, excellence, and national pride through sports.

About the 27th NUGA Games - UNIJOS 2025 Scheduled to take place in November 2025, the 27th edition of the NUGA Games will bring together student-athletes from universities across Nigeria to compete in a wide range of sporting events.
